Abstract

This research paper explores the commitment of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to human rights, tracing its origins from the nation's constitution, cultural heritage, and legislative framework. The UAE has embraced principles of equality, justice, and respect for human rights, aligning with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The paper addresses the definition of human rights, their significance, and the characteristics that define them. It highlights the UAE's efforts to incorporate international human rights agreements into its domestic legislation and the proactive role of the Ministry of Interior in promoting and protecting these rights. By analyzing the challenges and achievements in the UAE's human rights landscape, the study aims to raise awareness of the importance of human rights and encourage best practices in law enforcement. The findings indicate that the UAE ranks highly in global happiness and rule of law indices, reflecting its effective application of human rights principles. The research concludes with recommendations for enhancing awareness and cooperation in the field of human rights, emphasizing the need for continuous improvement and engagement with various stakeholders.
