Abstract
Witchcraft is a violation of Islamic law that destroys the faith of a Muslim. In addition, this act has a bad effect on the victim of this act of witchcraft. The effects of this immoral act of witchcraft can cause health problems, delirium, disorder and death. Even worse, it is the cause of the collapse of family institutions and society as a result of this act of magic. However, the legal constraints in Malaysia make it difficult for witchcraft perpetrators to be brought before and prosecuted in the Syariah Court. Therefore, this study will discuss the legal requirements against the crime of witchcraft in Malaysia. The results of the study found that the need for legal provisions for witchcraft in Malaysia. With the provision of this law, it will definitely curb the practice of witchcraft in Malaysia. This law will also terrify the people who practice witchcraft. This study is expected to be a reference for researchers, legislators, students, agencies involved in discussing related issues. This study is also expected to be one of the efforts to strengthen the Shariah legal system in Malaysia by creating legal provisions on witchcraft.
